When I visit my dad I love wandering the beach in search of driftwood. To me, each piece has a story of why it ended up on the sands of a particular cove. Beautiful already, Karen Miller takes these remains of trees and makes them into something more. She makes driftwood decor in the form of tables, lamps, and sculptures. People from all over the world collect nature's good stuff and send it to her, which makes the pieces even more unique. If I ever make it back to England, which I cross my fingers I do, I want to make it to South Devon to visit her gallery.
To take a peek at more of her work, visit her website.
