- 2 slices of whole-grain bread (I have come to love Food for Life 100% Whole Grain Ezekial 4:9 Bread. So healthy, filling, and only 80 calories a slice. Yum.)
- 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup of reduced fat cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of cooked bacon
- 2 slices of a Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
grilled cheese with a twist
After grocery shopping today, I was excited to get home and whip up some lunch. Craving a grilled cheese, I wanted to make it in a less conventional way. Adding apples and bacon gives this childhood favorite some new flavors.
