While I love the art of putting pen to page and combining a few simple words to create something unique, without the support from family and friends it would mean nothing. Which is why the e-mail I received from my mom today (regarding Shine or Set) was incredibly rewarding.
"My, oh my, you never cease to amaze me my beautiful, creative, and full-hearted daughter. What a beautiful gift to me on Valentine's Day. Proud is just one of the feelings I am feeling as well as nostalgic of the times you were a little girl reading books next to your bookcase...sitting with Harry and Fred. Never stop the flow of your spirit, no matter where you are in the world.

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the "Harry and Fred" she's referring to, they were my imaginary friends. You'd think I would come up with some less generic names.
