In Conrad's official statement, I'm glad she stuck to her guns...
“We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.”
While reality TV is pretty entertaining, and can sometimes become a guilty pleasure of mine, it's refreshing to see someone wanting to exploit their talent, rather than their personal life. Perhaps a more ambitious network will snatch up the series, so we can get our weekly dose of miss Conrad. In an interview with US Weekly, it sounds like it's a possibility, ""The amount of offers I've gotten has been very flattering. We all worked really hard on it and I'm really proud of it. It turned out fantastic, so stay tuned."
Keeping my fingers crossed. Until then, at least we can count on a sure thing, her new line, Paper Crown. We have a ways 'till Fall when the line hits stores, but at least we can drool over the lookbook.
Here are some of my favorites...
Guess I'm a fan of neutrals, eh?
Oh...I hadn't heard that MTV axed LC's new shoe - bummer! BUT you are right - it's probably way too classy for MTV. I bet (hope) another channel will pick it up!! I love LC and even more of how she is now.

It is a bug bummer! However, it will be picked up. I am glad I have a fellow LC fan to chat with.
