correct your skin

As requested, this post is to dabble in the lotions and potions that claim to brighten, smooth, and color correct your skin tone over time. Sounds like a miracle in a jar, right? After trying out a few samples, I suggest grabbing one of these products to experience your own miracle!

I checked out Even Better Makeup by Clinique. I love how much it covers, but how it still looks natural. I don't have a lot of scars or dark spots around my face, but I do sometimes get splotchy. This did the trick! After a couple days my skin seemed more even-colored and I didn't need a ton of makeup. I've heard it doesn't really suit those with oily skin, so I suggest straying away from this foundation if you have that type of skin.

I had heard a lot about Brighter by Nature Moisturizer by Origins. It has SPF 35, which is perfect to protect my skin from the Arizona sun. It smells delicious, since I am a fan of cucumber and basil scents. It goes on really smoothly and it didn't feel like I was tugging at my skin as I rubbed it on. My skin definitely looked brighter and healthy, which I loved. If your skin is clear, you really don't even need makeup if you put this moisturizer on. It's fantastic!

As I mentioned before, my skin can get a little red sometimes. I tried the Correcting Moisturizer by Murad and was pretty pleased. The peppermint soothes any splotches, and other moisturizers work to correct the overall tint. It's really lightweight, so wearing makeup over it doesn't feel too heavy.

After browsing Sephora and Ulta, I decided to hit the drugstores. I found Definity Color Recapture by Olay. It's still expensive for Target, but a little more affordable then higher-end makeup stores. It has a tint to it and works as a moisturizer and a sunscreen. It's three-in-one! It's brightened my skin, evened out my skin tone, and I haven't really touched my makeup besides concealer. I'm just out the door after some mascara.

I would definitely suggest trying out some of these items if you're tired of the time-consuming makeup routine and want bright, fresh-looking skin.
